The Movie is based on the story of a girl (Binita) living in a hostel in Pokhara, and two guys who have fallen in love with her.

Chapali Height had been dragged into different controversies from the start. The lead actress Binita Baral was in headlines before signing the movie. She had tried to be on top of news by talking freely about sex and sexual content in the movie.

Controversies:

• Copy of poster from Basic Instinct – the posters were exact copy of the English movie.
• Nude photos of Binita published in a number of magazine covers
• Binita Baral organized a press conference to protest the publication of the photos in magazine covers
• Producers threatened Binita telling that they won’t allow her to do the dubbing of the movie.
• Binita renamed herself to Beenita on the suggestion of an astrologer
• Police removed posters from public places for being too sexual for general public. The producers redesigned the poster with the actors wearing clothes.
